Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By using this website or booking any service with Elissa Dobson Coaching, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these terms.
When you book a coaching programme, you will also be asked to sign a Master Coaching Agreement before your first session. That agreement contains the full contractual terms specific to your programme. These website Terms and Conditions operate alongside it as a public statement of how we operate.
1. About Elissa Dobson Coaching
Elissa Dobson Coaching is a trading name of Elissa Dobson Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. Company Number: 13102981.
Contact: [email protected]
Website: elissadobson.com
2. Coaching Services
Elissa Dobson Coaching provides one-to-one coaching and group coaching programmes, delivered online via Zoom, along with workplace wellbeing talks and workshops delivered online or in person.
Coaching is a collaborative, forward-focused process designed to support reflection, wellbeing, behaviour change and decision making. It is not therapy, counselling, medical treatment or a substitute for professional medical or mental health care. Elissa Dobson Coaching does not diagnose, treat or prescribe for any medical or psychological condition.
All sessions are conducted in English. Programme details and specific inclusions are confirmed in writing at the time of booking and set out in the Programme Schedule attached to your signed Master Coaching Agreement.
3. Contract Formation
A contract is formed when a booking is confirmed and payment, or an agreed payment arrangement, has been accepted, and the signed Master Coaching Agreement has been received.
Elissa Dobson Coaching may decline or delay services where they are not appropriate, capacity is limited, or required information has not been provided.
4. Fees, Payment and Service Suspension
Fees are as confirmed at the time of booking and set out in the Programme Schedule. All prices are in British pounds sterling (GBP).
Payment is accepted via Stripe (card payments) or bank transfer. Invoicing is managed through Xero. Payment details are confirmed on your invoice.
Services may be paused where payment is overdue, required information has not been provided, technical issues arise, or wellbeing or safety concerns make it appropriate to do so. Supply will resume once the issue is resolved.
5. Cancellation, Rescheduling and Cooling Off
Individual sessions:
- Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours notice at no charge.
- Cancellations or reschedules with less than 48 hours notice will be charged in full, except in cases of documented medical emergency.
- Missed sessions without notice will be charged in full.
Programmes — your statutory right to cancel:
Where this contract is entered into online, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of booking under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, provided no sessions have been delivered. A full refund will be processed within 14 days.
If you request that services begin within the 14-day cancellation period, you acknowledge that you may lose part or all of your right to cancel, and that payment will be due for any services already delivered.
After 14 days, or once sessions have begun, programmes are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of Elissa Dobson Coaching.
If Elissa Dobson Coaching needs to cancel a session, an alternative date will be offered at no charge.
Digital content:
Where digital resources such as the ME FIRST Hub are provided as part of a programme, you consent to immediate access. Once digital content has been accessed, your cancellation rights in respect of that content are lost.
6. Client Responsibilities
- You agree to engage honestly and openly in the coaching process.
- You take full responsibility for all decisions, actions and outcomes arising from coaching conversations.
- You agree to inform Elissa Dobson Coaching if you are working with any mental health or medical professionals so that coaching can be appropriately tailored.
- You agree to seek specialist support where appropriate, and to communicate any changes in your support needs during the programme.
- You agree to attend sessions on time and to the agreed schedule to the best of your ability.
7. Safeguarding and Wellbeing Boundaries
Elissa Dobson Coaching provides wellbeing coaching and is not a mental health or medical provider. Where specialist support appears appropriate during the course of coaching, a referral or signposting may be recommended.
Where there are concerns about risk of harm to you or others, Elissa Dobson Coaching may take reasonable steps to protect safety. This may include pausing coaching, encouraging you to seek urgent support, contacting emergency services where appropriate, or sharing information where required by law.
If you are in crisis or experiencing thoughts of self-harm at any time, please contact your GP, call 999 in an emergency, or contact the Samaritans on 116 123 (free, 24 hours a day) if you are in the UK.
8. Confidentiality
All information shared within coaching sessions is treated as strictly confidential. This confidentiality may only be broken in the following circumstances:
- Where disclosure is required by law
- Where there is a risk of serious harm to you or others
- Where professional supervision is used, in which case information is shared in anonymised form only
In group coaching settings, all participants agree to respect the confidentiality of others. However, complete confidentiality within a group cannot be guaranteed.
9. Intellectual Property
All materials, tools, frameworks and resources provided as part of our programmes — including but not limited to the ME FIRST Method, the SENSE Framework and the ME FIRST Hub — are the intellectual property of Elissa Dobson Limited and are provided for your personal use only.
They may not be reproduced, shared, distributed or used commercially without prior written permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
Elissa Dobson Coaching will always endeavour to provide a high-quality, professional service. However, coaching outcomes depend on your individual engagement and circumstances, and no specific results can be guaranteed.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any breach of your statutory consumer rights.
Subject to the above, our total liability to you in connection with any service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for that service.
11. Termination
Either party may bring the coaching relationship to an end. Refunds for unused sessions are at the discretion of Elissa Dobson Coaching unless required by consumer law.
Elissa Dobson Coaching may end services where a client's behaviour impacts the safety of either party, where the scope of need is not appropriate for coaching, or where payment obligations are not met.
12. Data Protection
Elissa Dobson Limited processes your personal data to deliver coaching services, maintain business records and meet legal obligations. Where you share health or wellbeing information, this is processed with your consent.
Your data is stored securely and retained only for as long as is reasonably necessary. Full details are set out in our Privacy Policy at elissadobson.com.
13. Dispute Resolution
If you have a concern about our services, please contact us in the first instance at [email protected]. We will always try to resolve concerns informally.
Where informal resolution is not possible, both parties agree to consider mediation before pursuing legal action.
14. Governing Law and General
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Each clause of these Terms and Conditions operates independently. If any clause is found to be unenforceable, the remaining clauses continue in full effect.
Failure to enforce any term immediately does not constitute a waiver of rights.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any updates will be published on this page with a revised date. Continued use of our services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
